Compact Alarm Scanner (CAS200) from Watlow Anafaze for Low Cost Alarm Monitoring and Data Acquisition with Modbus RTU Protocol

ST. LOUIS, MO - Watlow Anafaze offers a low-cost 1/8 DIN size Compact Alarm Scanner (CAS200), which offers 16 channels of alarm monitoring and data acquisition capability for use in industrial and laboratory applications. It supports Modbus^TM RTU protocol.
TheCAS200 accepts multiple and mixed inputs from any combination of thermocouples, linear current or voltage inputs, or other remote devices. The unit has 16 analog and 8 digital inputs, 32 user-selectable alarm outputs, and 2 system digital outputs for global alarm and CPU watchdog timer. Each channel is scanned every 0.66 seconds, making the system very versatile and responsive, allowing the user to continuously monitor critical process variables. A digital input can be used for acknowledgment of alarms from an external computer or push-button.
RS-232or RS-485 serial communications can be used to connect up to 16 CAS200 alarm/monitoring systems to a host computer running ANASCAN^TMPC-based software for data display, storage and data analysis.
Thesoftware provides on-line trending, permitting the user to graph any channel or combination of channels. The process can be monitored in real time or up to 48 hours of data can be recalled. Job storage and recall holds up to eight jobs or recipes.
Operationis simplified. The front panel is provided with a 32-character (2x16) LCD backlit screen and 8-key keypad to access guided menus and prompts, enter passkey sequence, set values and switch from single to multiple channel displays. Engineering units used in a specific process, such as degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius, may be specified by the user.
CAS200units are only 1.9" high by 3.8" wide by 7.1" deep (48 mm x 96 mm x 180 mm). Power requirements are 12-24 VDC with an input current rating of 320 mA maximum.
